Chemical investigation on the neutral fraction of the ethanol extract from the roots of Spiraea japonica var.acuta has resulted in the isolation of one new diterpene amide, spiramide (1). Structure elucidation for 1 was carried out on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectra.
