Usine oxidation with KMnO₄. KMnO₄/acetonc-H₂O, NBS. followed by Polonovsky reaction and imine formation. the N-deethylatiun of sit norditerpenoid alkaloids 6-epi-forsticine yunnaconitine, 3,13-diacetylyunnacunitine, 13-dehydry-indacunitine, indacunitinc and acetylpseudaconine are reported in 36-60% yields.
