In the wake of rapid industrial development, the ever-increasing emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) have given rise to environmental concerns, including climate change. Harnessing CO2, an abundant, non-toxic, and cost-effective C1 resource, through chemical catalysis to produce high-value-added chemicals presents a viable solution for the sustainable utilization of CO2 resources. This paper employs a first-person perspective and a personification approach to introduce the adsorption and activation mechanisms of CO2 molecules by several typical catalysts.
