Sun Yat-Sen University has adopted the approach of integrating science and education to cultivate innovative talents by combining teaching with scientific research. In this regard, a graduate practical course titled “Modern Chemical Research Techniques and Skill Training” has been introduced, aiming to develop students’ scientific research thinking abilities and practical skills. The course has yielded promising outcomes in curriculum design, expansion of training platforms, solidarity of faculty, integration of scientific research and education, and the development of teaching materials. These achievements have laid a solid foundation for the integrated education of master’s and doctoral programs as well as the cultivation of innovative talents.
