The major of applied chemistry at University of Jinan was selected as one of the first batch of national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. This article introduces the exploration and practice of this major in recent years in characteristic development, teaching reform, faculty construction, and talent training, providing reference for the first-class undergraduate major construction in local undergraduate institutions.
