Using the moving boundary method to measure the ion transference number is a basic physical chemistry experiment.To circumvent the shortcomings of chromium electrode in the traditional design, copper electrode was adopted.Comparing with the chromium electrode, replicate measurements showed that copper electrode presented good accuracy with the advantages of lowering the toxicity of electrode materials and the apparatus requirements.
