The development of a new generation of agricultural and forestry professionals serves as the human resource foundation for promoting comprehensive rural revitalization. As a fundamental course in agricultural and forestry institutions, Basic Chemistry Laboratory possesses distinctive features including broad student participation and abundant ideological-political elements, making it a crucial platform for constructing a comprehensive curriculum-based ideological and political education system. In recent years, the Basic Chemistry Laboratory teaching team at Shandong Agricultural University’s College of Chemistry and Materials Science has established a diversified, omnidirectional “online-offline” ideological and political education system. This initiative, grounded in the fundamental principle of moral education and the course orientation of “strengthening foundations and fostering innovation”, leverages emerging information technologies. The course development provides valuable reference experience for ideological and political construction in laboratory courses at agricultural and forestry universities.
