Three bis[tris(2-methyl-2-phenyl)propyltin] dicarboxylates (CH2)n[CO2Sn(CH2CMe2Ph)3]2 (n=2 (1), 3 (2), 4 (3)) have been synthesized by the reaction of succinic acid、glutaric and acid adipic acid with bis[tris(2-methyl-2-phenyl)propyltin] oxide, respectively. IR, 1H and 13C NMR, elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction for the title complexes were presented. The tin atoms of the three complexes have a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The tests showed the complexes 2 and 3 displayed strong in vitro anti-tumor activity against five human tumor cell lines, Colo205, HepG2, MCF-7, Hela and NCI-H460.
